18 Nov 2025

Chengdu, 18 November 2025. E2 Forum China 2025, Chengdu Salon was successfully held on 12 September at the Milieu Art in Chengdu. Centred around the theme of “The integration of design and smart technology in luxury residential properties”, the event explored how innovative design methods and smart technologies are transforming high-end residential projects. It aimed to create a cross-industry platform to foster collaboration among key players in architecture elevators, lighting, and smart home solutions. The event brought together over 30 leaders in luxury homes, as well as smart technology experts to discuss future trends through four in-depth keynote speeches as well as a roundtable discussion.

Private home elevators have seen rapid growth in popularity in China, particularly within the villa and upscale residential property sector. As the demand for high-end living spaces continues to rise and lifestyles evolve, luxury residences are now more than places to live, but also spaces that blend user-oriented designs, smart technologies, and sustainable living principles. Modern consumers prioritise not just visual appeal and functional layouts but also immersive experiences, such as ambient lighting and smart home integration. These shifting expectations are driving luxury residential projects towards greater cross-industry collaboration, human-centric approaches, and enhanced functionality.

To address these trends, the event, themed “The integration of design and smart technology in luxury residential properties”, provided a focused platform for industry dialogue.

Ms Lucia Wong, General Manager of Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, commented: “This Chengdu event focused on the integration of design and smart solutions for premium living spaces. Through a series of keynote speeches and cross-industry discussions, we explored innovative practices in high-end residential projects. We hope that participants gained valuable insights and forged new partnerships to collectively drive the industry towards smarter, more user-focused, and thoughtfully crafted living environments.”

The event featured four keynote speeches and a roundtable discussion. Topics included developing high-end residential spaces to foster a sense of connection, smart lighting case sharing, practical approaches to integrating smart home systems, and how elevator solutions can improve quality of life. The roundtable, titled “Luxury Living: Balancing Technology and Design”, invited experts to exchange ideas, inspire cross-industry innovation, and explore creative solutions.

This event provided valuable insights for designers exploring niche areas of the sector and provided a meaningful platform for cross-industry dialogue.”

Ms Qinqin Cao, Chief Designer, YIGE Lighting Scene Design, emphasised the importance of lighting design in luxury homes: “Understanding client’s needs and providing lighting that aligns with their vision is key.
